Nikon NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct Lens

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct is a fast, standard prime, manual focus lens for the Nikon Z mount system. It takes advantage of the superior design flexibility made possible by the combination of the large-diameter (inner diameter of 55 mm) Z mount and the 16mm flange focal distance to realise an f/0.95 maximum aperture, the fastest (brightest) in Nikon history. This lens gives you outstanding optical performance and incredible rendering performance in terms of point-image reproduction characteristics, resolution and bokeh effects.

Optics
The optics for this lens are constructed of 17 elements in 10 groups for which four ED glass elements and three aspherical lens elements including new large-diameter ground aspherical lens elements made of high-refractive-index glass materials molded with great precision are employed. These elements realize a high degree of correction for various types of aberration, including distortion and spherical aberration.

Lens Coatings
Nikon's exclusive anti-reflection coatings, ARNEO Coat and Nano Crystal Coat have been added to this lens. The combination of these two coating technologies effectively reduces ghost and flare generated by incident light for incredibly sharp and clear images.

Nightscapes
The optical design with 17 elements in 10 groups ensures point light sources are reproduced in beautiful detail even when shooting wide open. From night landscapes to astrophotography, the results are astounding.

Portraiture
Subjects are sharply rendered even when shooting at the widest aperture of f/0.95. You get exceptional aesthetic control in any light, and exquisite bokeh—which is smoothly graded to the edges of the frame.

Movies
With its large maximum aperture giving you vast control over depth of field, this lens enables powerfully cinematic footage. You’ll also benefit from reduced focus breathing.

Control ring
The control ring can be used for smooth, silent aperture control (great for fading in/out during video recording) or exposure compensation.

Information display panel
An OLED information display panel lets you quickly confirm aperture, focus distance, and depth of field right on the lens.

FN button
From AE lock to metering, bracketing, and more. You can assign as many as 17 different functions to the lens’ Fn button.
