This weather resistant lens is a high grade standard zoom with bright f/2.8 maximum aperture. With a 35mm equivalenr focal length range of 24-75mm, the SAL1650 lens covers extra wide angle to near-telephoto perspectives. If you are often recording movies you'll love this lens's Super Sonic Wave Motor which is near-silent during its extra-rapid operation.
Image quality is excellent thanks to the inclusion of both ED (extra low dispersion) and aspherical elements which remove aberrations which detract from sharpness and colour accuracy.
