The Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 is super-compact and lightweight lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras. The optical design has been completely revamped from the previous Tamron 70-180mm (model A056). The combination of special glass including an XLD2 and LD3 lens elements delivers uncompromising optical performance throughout the entire zoom range. With the 70-180mm F2.8 G2, Tamron has pushed rendering capabilities and miniaturisation to the limits.

The Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 G2 is equipped with Tamron’s VC5 mechanism. This suppresses camera shake that tends to occur when shooting at the telephoto end, during close focusing, or when shooting in low-light conditions, enabling sharper results.MOD of 30cm
Tamron has succeeded in shortening the MOD (minimum object distance) to At 70mm, the working distance is 12cm and the maximum magnification ratio is 1:2.6. This expands the possibilities for expression with a single lens. -
