The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens for Canon EF provides the best possible performance when photographing a variety of subjects from city scapes, mountain ranges and the star-filled night sky that demands great rendering, to indoor photography with low illumination or scenes with a smooth bokeh effect.
Large Aperture, high quality
This lens has superior peripheral brightness and provides high contrast image even at the maximum apertures. It is ideal for several types of photography such as cityscapes, portraits and star-filled night sky. The moulded glass aspherical lens elements provide excellent correction of chromatic aberration and ensure superior optical performance. The fast F1.4 aperture and rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas. This lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), which ensures a quiet and high-speed AF as well as full-time manual focus override.Correction of sagittal coma flare
The molded glass aspherical lens elements provide excellent correction of sagittal coma flare. This lens has an optimized power layout, positioning aspherical lens elements at the rear and adjusting the incidence angle of the light source, enabling high rendering performance even from the widest aperture. It is perfect for astronomical photography and shooting illuminations.Correction of chromatic aberration
Thanks to FLD (“F” Low Dispersion) glass and SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements, this lens minimise chromatic aberration of magnification which is mainly visible around the edge of the image. Without any colour blur, it achieves high image quality throughout the entire focusing range.HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor)
This lens incorporates HSM, which ensures quiet and high-speed AF as well as full-time manual focus override by rotation of the focus ring.Reduced Ghosting and Flare
The super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting. It provides high contrast images even when the subject is backlit.The Sigma 24mm Art is compatible with the USB dock to update your firmware and customise the setting of Full-time MF function. It is also compatible with the Mount Conversion Service: with this procedure the mount of your lenses can be changed to another mount of your choice.
