Ioannis (Yannis) Karalis, Sony Alpha Community Manager.
Yannis is a street and documentary photographer with a passion for capturing urban life and authentic human moments. For him, photography represents freedom, curiosity, and connection, a way of discovering stories in everyday life.
He believes that adventure isn't limited to travelling abroad; it can be found by exploring familiar places with fresh eyes and an open mind. Whether wandering city streets or documenting everyday life, Yannis is always looking for meaningful moments that reveal the character of a place and its people.
He currently shoots with the Sony α7C II and Sony α7R V, paired with some of his favourite lenses, including the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II, FE 50mm F1.4 GM, and FE 24–50mm F2.8 G.
