Join Jessops Academy and OM-Systems on an exclusive Animal Encounters Experience at Hoo Zoo.

Walk on the wild side and enter the animal enclosures on this up-close and personal event.
Test all the latest and greatest OM Kit & lenses, pick up some new skills and capture stunning shots of the animals while we share their enclosures with them.
Entry to the Zoo for the day is included* as well as the enclosure experiences, and there's also the option for attendees to join us at 6pm for an evening in the woodland hide on-site and photograph the wild badgers.

On The Day

The day will be led by Pete our Academy & Events Manager and OM-Systems product engagement specialist Richard Ryder-Campbell.
OM will provide the latest range of lenses and cameras for users to test, try and borrow for the sessions.

We start the day with a trainer led briefing at our Wildlife hide, which includes photographic principles, controls, and composition.
Here you will have a chance to look at the latest OM kit and 'gear up' with new toys to play with throughout the session.
From here we move on to visit the outdoor enclosures where attendees have the opportunity to photograph the various creatures, many of who will get closer than you might think to enhance your experience futher.

AM session Agenda:(Timings are approximate)
09:00 - Arrival, Welcome, Introductions, Photographic briefing, OM Kit hand out
10:00 - Outdoor animal encounters (Meerkats, lemurs, wolves, foxes, Capybara and more)
13:00 - Session ends

PM session Agenda:(Timings are approximate)
14:00 - Arrival, Welcome, Introductions, Photographic briefing, OM Kit hand out
15:00 - Outdoor animal encounters (Meerkats, lemurs, wolves, foxes, Capybara and more)
18:00 - Session ends

Your booking includes entry to the Zoo for the day and attendees are welcome to stay and enjoy the Zoo after the morning session* or arrive early for the afternoon session* and enjoy the rest of the site.

All attendees are invited and welcome to join us at 6pm in the Badger hide for a chance to photograph the wild Badgers in the woodland.
Our expert tutor and OM expert will be on hand throughout to support and guide you through all your camera controls and settings relevant for the day.

You're more than welcome to bring along your existing OM kit or try an entire new system.
Please ensure you bring a compatible High-Speed SD card for use in the cameras on the day.
OM Kit will only be available during the timed sessions with the OM specialist.

*One entry to the Zoo is included per booking, additional non-photographic and accompanying guests will need to book and pay standard entry to the Zoo via the Hoo Zoo website for the date. Non-photogrpahic and accompanying guests will not be permitted to join attendees in the enclosures with the animals.
