Jessops Celebrates 90 Years in 2025
In 2025, Jessops celebrates an amazing 90 years of delivering expert photography equipment, advice, and support to everyone, from hobbyists to pros. Since it all began in 1935, Jessops has grown from humble roots into a photography giant, helping photographers turn their creative ideas into reality for generations.
To celebrate this huge milestone, we’ve got a year full of exciting events, including special discounts, seminars and hands-on workshops. Check out our guide to join in the celebration!

How you can celebrate our 90th year with us: Our Event Weeks
In 2025, we’re taking our celebrations on the road with event weeks in Jessops stores across the UK, from London to Glasgow. Running daily from 10am to 4pm, these free-to-attend events will feature seminars, workshops, and exclusive discounts in honour of Jessops' 90th birthday. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
Get your questions answered from world-leading tech manufacturers like Canon, DJI, and Nikon, plus hands-on demos and product showcases to help you find the perfect gear.
London, Oxford Street
21st - 26th July 2025
We’re kicking off our 90th birthday celebrations in the heart of London, with a week of exciting events at the Jessops Oxford Street store from Monday, 21st to Saturday, 26th July.
There’s plenty happening throughout the week, starting with DJI, who will be showcasing the latest in drone tech. Plus, product specialist Chris Cooze will be there for hands-on demos and expert advice to help you find the perfect gear.
A highlight of the week is on Saturday, 26th July, when photographer Bruno Murari will share his tips on capturing fast-paced sports moments, from Wimbledon to Formula 1, using top-end Nikon equipment.

Shrewsbury
28th July - 3rd August 2025
Next up, we're heading to Shrewsbury in Shropshire, where our celebration continues at the Jessops store on Mardol Street from Monday, 28th July to Friday, 3rd August.
Highlights include a hands-on session with Fujifilm on Thursday, 31st July, where product specialist Carol Hartfree will be showcasing the brand-new X-E5, X-HALF and GFX100RF cameras. Plus, you won't want to miss Sony presenter Vaida Kunigelyte on Friday, 1st August, for a special Touch and Try session with the latest Sony cameras and lenses.

Sheffield Meadowhall
4th - 10th August 2025
Our celebration continues at the Jessops Sheffield store in Meadowhall Shopping Centre, running from Tuesday, 4th to Saturday, 9th August.
Highlights include DJI's product specialist Chris Cooze for hands-on drone demonstrations on Tuesday, and Canon Product Specialist Peter Taylor on Saturday, with expert advice and to test out the latest cameras and lenses, with plenty more events in between.

11th - 17th August 2025
Next, we're heading to the Jessops York Discovery Store, which opened recently in 2024. York Event Week is from Wednesday to Saturday, 14th to 17th August.
This week features demonstrations of the latest tech and photography gear, expert advice, and hands-on experiences from leading brands DJI, Fujifilm and Sony.

From Monday, 18th to Saturday, 24th August, we'll be at Jessops Store Leeds on The Headrow — right in the heart of the city centre.

Glasgow
15th - 31st August 2025
Next, we’re heading to Scotland! From Wednesday to Sunday, 15th to 31st August, our Glasgow event week is packed with advice, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions with leading brands like Fujifilm and Canon.
A special highlight you won’t want to miss is on Sunday, 31st August — ‘Unleash Your Inner Sports Photographer!’ Hosted at the Emirates Arena Velodrome, this exclusive event is led by Fujifilm Ambassador Alex Denham.
Dive into the creative and real-world use of Fujifilm cameras and lenses for sports photography. You’ll get to try out the latest kit in a live arena with pro cyclists on track, all while receiving expert guidance from one of the best in the field.
