Nikon enter the world of the Compact System Camera with their highly compact and portable “Nikon 1” range. These cameras are designed with intuitive operation in mind and are highly adaptable for both stills and Full HD movies.

Extra Fast Shooting
The highly responsive phase detection autofocus system is made possible by the use of a high speed CMOS sensor hat returns excellent ISO sensitivity (also good for low light) and the EXPEED 3 image processing system. This uses dual processor technology and also facilitates extra fast continuous shooting of up to 10 frames per second in AF mode.
Full HD Movies
The Nikon 1 J1 records 1080p Full HD movies and has the useful feature of simultaneous full HD movies and photos. In other words you can capture amazing stills at the touch of a button even during movie recording, along with the extra facility of recording slow motion movie footage. Ever wanted to record more than just a photo? Motion Snapshot is a one-touch Photo Animation feature recording short bursts of movie action of a couple of seconds. In other words, it’s a photo that’s animated.
Specially designed lens system
Newly developed for this range, Nikon 1 lenses are extra compact and incorporate VR II (Vibration Reduction) technology for images without shake. Of course they represent fine examples of Nikkor optical quality known the world over.
