The Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8 G DX Lens is a high quality f1.8 standard lens for Nikon DX-format digital SLRs. Ideal for high resolution, high contrast images particularly in low light conditions.
Giving a 35mm format equivalent focal length of 52.5mm, this lens fulfils the role of a standard wide-aperture lens. Of course the main features of such a lens include superb clarity further enhanced by the presence of aspherical optics, and the flexibility to shoot in dark conditions as well as having great control over depth of field thanks to the wide aperture.
It also features a Silent Wave Motor which makes this 35mm optic equally suitable for movie recording. There are two focus modes, manual-priority autofocus and manual focus, meaning that you have instant control of focus adjustment even when autofocus is set. Rear focusing also ensures there is no rotation of the front of the lens while focusing, so making it easier to attach filters.
