Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 DG HSM II for Nikon AF

This extra-wide Full Frame zoom lens is successor to the 12-24mm EX DG lens. Its compact construction is ideal for travelling photographers and its performance is outstanding.

The optical system includes the following:

• Four FLD Glass elements – performance equal to fluorite – ultra high light transmission and low refractive index, plus high anomalous dispersion – will correct secondary spectrum chromatic aberration, not possible to achieve with normal optical glass
• One SLD (Special Low Dispersion) Glass element – excellent correction of chromatic aberration
• Three aspherical elements and one hybrid aspherical element to retain edge-to edge sharpness right through the zoom range
• Super Multi-Layer Coating for virtually eliminating ghosting and lens flare

This 12-24mm lens also has superior peripheral brightness borne out of extra care in design of front lens group.

Focusing is super-slick using the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor). It is an inner focus system which makes filter use far easier, and with Full Time Manual Focus you can make minute adjustments when focusing.
