If a recording setting is changed accidentally, pressing a new Rec. Setting Reset button will restore the camera to its factory settings.

Upon activating the Panasonic Image App a guide menu is displayed for ease of use, ensuring that it is quicker than ever to share an image.

Jump Snap function
The LUMIX GF7 newly integrates a Jump Snap function. This option allows users to photograph themselves when jumping, using their smartphone as a remote control for the camera. Whether the smartphone is in your hand or pocket, it detects the highest point of your jump and captures a photo at that point. The impossible made possible.

Easy Image Sharing with Wi-Fi®
You’ve taken some great images with the LUMIX GF7; now you want to show them off. You can instantly upload and share your pictures on social media using the Panasonic Image App on a smartphone or tablet. Geotagging
Location information can be tagged to the image by utilising the GPS log of a smartphone/tablet.

Buddy Shutter / Face Shutter
Introducing two new means for simpler selfies. Buddy Shutter mode works when two people bring their faces closer together; Face Shutter mode is activated merely by covering your face with a waving hand.

Dual Shutter Button
On the LUMIX GF7 the Fn1 (function) button provides an extra means of firing the shutter when holding the camera in just your left or right hand for selfie.

The Contrast AF system of the LUMIX GF7 is fast yet accurate, exchanging digital signals between camera and lens at a maximum 240 fps. Also offered are high-speed burst shooting at 5.8 fps at 16 megapixels plus a maximum 40 fps with electronic shutter.

Low Light AF
Low Light AF makes it possible to focus subjects precisely even in -4EV low light situations, like a starry sky with no other light source.

Creative Control
Via a wide variety of filter effects, Creative Control adds artistic expression to photos and videos. Creative Panorama function allows you to create dynamic vertical/ horizontal panoramic photos just by panning the camera.

Silent Mode
This single setting switches shutter operation from mechanical to electronic and turns off the AF sound, while suppressing the emission of the AF assist lamp and flash.

For shooting video, the LUMIX GF7 allows you to be as expressive as you want. The camera boasts Full HD 1920 x1080 50p high quality recording in AVCHD Progressive and MP4 formats with stereo sound, ensuring smooth results. Full time AF and AF tracking is as accessible in video mode as it is in stills mode. Plus there is 24p video with maximum 24MB/sec bit rate for those wanting a classic cinema look.

Snap Movie Mode
Record videos within a set time period (2, 4, 6 or 8 secs) and use additional focusing and fade effects. Panasonic Image App lets you rearrange videos in any order, add music and share edited versions.

Time Lapse Shooting
Set the camera up and leave it to record stars shifting in the night sky, clouds racing past or flowers blooming. Images shot at intervals are combined in the camera to create time-lapse videos.
