The Sigma 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens is designed and optimised exclusively for APS-C Format Digital SLR cameras. Its 16.6X high zoom ratio and compact size have been the result of the application of the latest optical, materials and motor technologies.The 18-300mm lens is equipped with a minimum focusing distance of 39cm throughout the zoom range, giving an impressive macro performance of 1:3 magnification.
Re-newed Optical Stabiliser
Completely redesigned for better compesation, the Optical Image Stabiliser (OS) in this lens utilizes a built-in mechanism that compensates for camera shake when shooting by hand held camera - ideal for sports and even macro photography.
Optical Prowess
Includes one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element for excellent correction of colour aberrations, as well as four FLD (performance equal to fluorite), this lens capture incredible sharp, all the way through the focal length. The result is higher contrast images and far less need to worry about shooting towards a light source.
Also includes a HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), a motor driven by ultrasonic waves for fast and quiet focusing, and a rounded 7-blade diaphragm for a truly natural appearance to defocused areas of your image.Working with the USB dock, this lens allows for firmware updates when available and adjustment of focus parameters
