    Description

Jessops have teamed up with Nikon to support the charity Sightsavers.

Sightsavers vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes, and where people with disabilities participate equally in society.

    We share that vision.

Sight and photography are intrinsically linked and so we want to help support their amazing work.

Sightsavers operate in more than 30 countries around the world. They partner with local, regional and national organisations, ministries, governments and non-governmental organisations to distribute disease treatments, carry out operations and eye examinations, advocate for people with disabilities and strengthen local health systems.

Jessops and Nikon are giving you the opportunity to support this great cause.

When you buy any Nikon DSLR camera you will be eligible to purchase a limited edition leather neck strap debossed with the Nikon 100 Year Anniversary Logo for £20, usual price £39.99.

100% of the profits of the sale of this strap will go to Sightsavers, where £20 can pay for 2 people to have a sight saving trachoma operation.

    What is Sightsavers

Sightsavers is an international organisation that changes lives for the long term. They work in more than 30 countries to eliminate avoidable blindness and support people with visual impairments to live independently.

Sightsavers prevent avoidable blindness by carrying out eye examinations and referring people for treatment to prevent blindness and restore sight. They also work with their partners to treat and prevent debilitating neglected tropical diseases.

Sightsavers support equality for people with disabilities by training teaching staff and supplying specialist learning tools. They educate communities to reduce the stigma around disability, and empower people with disabilities so they can participate fully in society.

Sightsavers campaign and advocate for change by working with governments to tackle problems at the root of avoidable blindness, such as access to clean water and education. They aim to make changes for the long term, to support the people who need it most.
