The camera features universal 1/4-20 screw mounting compatibility, making it easy to use with GoPro mounts and third party accessories.

By capturing 5.6K30 spherical video, MAX gives you the freedom to stay in the moment and still get amazing footage. There’s no need to frame the shot. Just hit the shutter button to start recording. MAX captures everything. Get immersive POV footage of a mountain bike run and shots of you riding from the same video. Slow things down with 3K60 video to capture 2x slo-mo footage of your kids jumping in the pool and everyone’s reaction at the poolside as they get hit with the splash. The GoPro Quik app is packed with features that transform your 360° footage into amazing shareable stories. Object Tracking locks onto your subject and automatically follows it no matter where it roams throughout your spherical footage. You can reframe your 360° footage into standard videos, grab photos and add dramatic transition effects to get exactly the shots you want before posting them straight from the app.

Stealth Mounting
Capture amazing pole-mounted footage where the pole completely vanishes. Attach MAX to a grip or extension pole using the 1/4-20 mounting threads on the bottom of the camera. The pole will be automatically stitched out of your videos and photos. You can easily create incredible self-capture shots that look as if you’re being recorded by another person and stunning drone-like videos that look like you’re being recorded from the air.

Single Lens Video, Photo + Time Lapse
Single Lens (HERO) mode gives you the option to capture standard video, photos and time lapse footage just like our HERO cameras. Video can be captured in the 1080p video resolution for full widescreen playback on your phone or TV or in the 1440p resolution for taller, more immersive POV footage.

Max HyperSmooth video stabilisation
Max HyperSmooth video stabilisation helps you capture impossibly smooth single-lens footage no matter how much your camera shakes, twists or turns while recording. 360° TimeWarp lets you speed up time by capturing shake-free stabilised time lapse footage while you’re on the move. After recording, reframe your footage to capture it again from different angles and catch things you didn’t see when you first recorded the footage.

In Single Lens (HERO) mode, the screen can be front-facing so you can see and narrate the scene in front of you or rear-facing so you can perfectly frame yourself in the shot. You can also prioritise sound from either side of the camera no matter which lens you’re using.

Live streaming in 1080p
Go live in Single Lens (HERO) mode and share while you’re there. Live stream in 1080p on social media, get Max HyperSmooth stabilisation as you broadcast via the GoPro Quik app and save footage to your SD card to check out later.

GPS + performance stickers
GPS automatically captures telemetry data that can be overlaid as animated graphics in your video using the GoPro Quik app. It’s a unique visual way to show off your speed, path, terrain, altitude and G-forces while giving your videos an intense professional vibe.
