Scotland Outdoor Experience

Description

A weekend break that takes in all that's great about a Scottish country retreat. Beautiful scenery, landscape views, forest walks, cascading rivers, wild deer, birds of prey and a nature hide for photographing red squirrels and occasionally the elusive pine marten. This experience offers the enthusiastic photographer a fantastic opportunity to capture hundreds of images of nature whilst having the support and guidance of an Academy Tutor on hand. Please note that the accomodation for this weekend is within a field studies centre. Because of this the rooms are limited to single occupancy and have basic dormitory style facilities with shared bathrooms. All catering is provided for within the trip and we are able to accomodate specific dietary requirements.

On The Day

The centre has multiple Red Squirrels living on site. Delegates will have special access to a carefully located hide only metres from the main feeding ground. There are so many Red Squirrels around that you may even by lucky enough to be joined by one at the windowsill whilst eating your breakfast! The weekend heavily revolves around practical application, with a brief classroom theory session on the Friday night advising on what settings to use and how to achieve the best composition. On the Saturday and Sunday there will be ample opportunity to utilise the hide and through the day several trips and walks will be organised to go out and about around Kindrogan and capture the beautiful surrounding nature and landscape. This price includes all meals and accommodation.

Who will be there on the day?

The Scotland Outdoors Experience will be led by a member of our Award Winning Academy Training Team. All of our Trainers are experienced photographers and have a broad knowledge of all cameras to ensure you get the best from the day.
