In addition to stowing its incredible zoom lens, the compact black body of the Powershot SX120IS houses Canon’s fast-acting DIGIC 4 processor which supports a wide range of ultra-handy photographic functions to make taking great pictures easy.

For example, the SX-120 has Smart Auto to choose optimal camera settings by matching what it sees in the frame to one of 18 different scene types. While Easy mode gives the option of truly fuss-free point-and-shoot, more experienced users can set it to Full Manual Control mode and take creative control over their photography.

To complement this, face detection and motion detection adjust the settings and focus to deliver perfect portraits and action shots, while FaceSelf-Timer makes group shots simple by only taking the shot when a new face enters the frame.

ISO Auto selects the Canon PowerShot’s light sensitivity for better photos in dull or very bright conditions and enhanced i-Contrast reproduces the details in areas of highlight and shadow to give a truer view of what the human eye can see.

The Canon PowerShot SX120 IS features a large 3.0” LCD screen for easy framing and review of images, and also shoots fantastic VGA quality movie clips with sound. A special Long Play option uses around half the memory card space, for longer shooting times.
