At the heart of the powerful A330 is Sony’s state-of-the-art BIONZ image processing engine which ensures speedy processing times, lower power consumption and higher quality image processing.

Superbly detailed images can be enlarged considerably without any reduction in image quality, thanks to the Alpha A330’s 10.2 megapixel sensor.

The inclusion of the Sony DT 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 lens brings distant subjects into clear focus, and is also perfect for snapshots, portraits and wide-angle shots. This lightweight lens also boasts smooth and silent autofocus thanks to its Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM). When teamed with the Sony Alpha A330’s impressive high ISO range of 100-3200, faster shutter speeds reduce the risk of blurred images when shooting moving subjects and enables clearer photos to be taken in low light.

Steady Shot technology eliminates camera shake, and, as it is built in to the A330, the benefits of image stabilisation can be enjoyed with any lens attached. Steady Shot’s 9-point autofocus technology is also included, to deliver pin sharp clarity across the frame. Adding to this powerful mix is super fast eye-start focusing to ensure you never miss out on those fleeting, perfect photo opportunities.

Images are kept blemish-free, thanks to the Sony Alpha A330’s Anti-Dust system, while the Quick AF Live View allows fast focusing and 2.5-frames-per-second continuous shooting at full resolution.

The clever features don’t stop there, as Sony has also included six scene selection modes, taking the guesswork out of photo situations to produce the very-best results without the need for fiddly settings, while an on-screen help guide is another useful feature for those new to DSLR photography.

The Alpha A330 features a large, tilting 2.7” LCD screen for easy framing and review of images. This includes an on-screen graphic display to give a graphical illustration of the effects of shutter speed and aperture changes.
