Offering a 35mm equivalent effective focal length range of approximately 29-216mm, the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS combines the majority of all the most popular focal lengths in one lens. Whether wide angle for landscapes, or telephoto for sports day, the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS covers your needs.
Image Stabilizer
The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS features Canon’s 4-stop Image Stabilizer (IS). Ideal for low light conditions when a tripod can’t be used. The Image Stabilizer system allows shutter speeds of up to 4 stops slower than normal to be used without causing image blur.
Beauty is not just skin deep
The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS also features Canon’s new exterior design for lenses, with a textured finish for a sophisticated look and feel that matches your EOS camera.
High speed auto focus
A specially deveoped DC autofocus motor combined with a high-speed CPU and improved AF algorithm enables quick and accurate auto focus performance.
Super Spectra coatings
Canon’s Super Spectra lens coating is used to prevent flare and ghosting. These are more prone to occur with digital cameras due to reflection off the image sensor. The use of optimised lens coatings prevent flare and ghosting and ensure excellent colour balance and contrast.
Circular Aperture
A 6 blade circular aperture provides a pleasing background blurring. This can be used to enhance portraits by creatively blurring background detail making the subject more striking.
